Air Fryer Artichoke Hearts

This recipe was a pleasant surprise! I previously baked canned artichoke hearts with olive oil and garlic powder for a super quick snack. This time I used some arrowroot powder to help make them a little bit crispier.

Ingredients

  • 2, 14 oz. cans of organic artichoke hearts

  • 1 large egg

  • 2 tablespoons arrowroot powder

  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon sea salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil.

  • Garnish with a pinch of microgreens.

  • Dip in Primal Kitchen aioli.


 DIRECTIONS

  1. Combine all dry ingredients in a small mixing bowl.

  2. Mix together olive oil and the egg.

  3. Toss all ingredients together, and make sure artichoke hearts are fully coated.

  4. Spread artichoke hearts evenly across the air fryer basket.

  5. Turn the air fryer to 400 degrees and cook the artichoke hearts for 8 minutes until golden brown.

  6. Sprinkle with sea salt to your desired level of saltiness and enjoy!

  7. You can also add some microgreens on top like I did or dip the artichoke hearts in some Primal Kitchen aioli!
