Air Fried Shishito Peppers

Shishito peppers are in peak season during the summer and early Fall. I always get excited when I spot them at the grocery store because they are crispy, salty, and so easy to make. You can sauté these peppers in a frying pan with some coconut oil or avocado oil, but I prefer the air fryer.

You can also add coconut aminos if you would like for them to be a little bit sweeter or spices like cayenne or paprika if you would like for them to be spicier. Garlic goes very well on these too.

Ingredients

  • 1-2 packages of shishito peppers

  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil

  • 2 teaspoons of unrefined sea salt

 DIRECTIONS

  1. Toss all ingredients together in a mixing bowl.

  2. Spread shishitos out evenly across the air fryer basket.

  3. Turn the air fryer to 400 degrees and cook the shishitos for 7-8 minutes.

  4. Sprinkle with sea salt to your desired level of saltiness and enjoy!
